Empowering children and strengthening families with compassion, care, and community.

Our Mission

Our mission is to provide a safe space where children can find hope and healing.

The goal of our center is to provide a child-focused setting where representatives from core disciplines, including law enforcement, child protection, prosecution, mental health and victim advocacy will collaboratively work to investigate reports of child abuse, conduct forensic interviews, and refer cases for prosecution. We will use our multidisciplinary team approach, using an evidence-based response to meet the specific needs of children and their families.

What is a Child Advocacy Center (CAC)?

TRUST. HEALING. JUSTICE.

Our Services

A collaborative approach to child abuse and trauma . . .

Forensic Interviewing

Our multidisciplinary team (MDT) approach coordinates services among several different local agencies to advocate for children. We promote a streamlined process which reduces the chances that children are re-traumatized and preserves the best evidence for investigators.

Child Advocacy

Advocates are assigned to each case and provide support during the initial intake process and throughout the duration of the case. The advocate will assess and address individual needs and cultural considerations for clients and their families.

About Us

Two Rivers United Child Advocacy Center (CAC) is a new non-profit in Lewiston, ID who proudly opened their doors in March of 2025.

Founded on the principles of compassion, integrity, and collaboration, our center serves as a beacon of hope for those in need. Our services empower children, support families, and educate communities. With a team of skilled professionals, we are committed to creating a safe and supportive environment for healing and justice.

Two Rivers United CAC is providing an essential gap in services to the five counties represented in Idaho Public Health Region 2 and surrounding communities.  The launch of this center was supported by a strong board of professionals in health and welfare, law enforcement, medical, and prosecution who witnessed first-hand the need to provide better services to victims of maltreatment and their families. Two Rivers United CAC has tremendous support from Idaho Network of CAC’s (INCAC), the Idaho Council on Domestic Violence and Victim’s Assistance (ICDVVA), and CAC’s across the state of Idaho in developing policies and strategies to serve our broad geographical region and create lasting partnerships.
