Katie Conklin, Executive Director

Executive Director

Katie is serving as Program Manager of Forensic Interviewing and Advocacy Services of our newly established advocacy center.  She earned a dual bachelor’s degree in Sociology and Justice Studies from the University of Idaho in 2003 and completed her Ms. Ed. in Counseling from Old Dominion University in Norfolk, VA in 2009.

When she isn’t working, Katie enjoys spending time with her family on the ranch, gardening, enjoying food with friends, living out her faith, and watching her children thrive.

As a member of the Two Rivers United Child Advocacy Center team, Katie is passionate about developing evidence-based practices and delivering trauma-informed services to children and their families.  Her vision is to provide healthy and productive education and prevention programs to empower children and families in our community, and create pathways for families to develop resilience in the face of trauma.

Aberash Miller - Family Advocate

Aberash Miller

Family Advocate

Aberash is a dedicated advocate committed to supporting vulnerable populations and strengthening community partnerships. Raised in Lewiston, Idaho, she earned her Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from Lewis-Clark State College in 2024. She is currently pursuing her Master of Social Work at Grand Canyon University.

When she isn’t working, Aberash enjoys spending quality time with her nephews, valuing moments of family and connection. She is also actively involved in her church’s youth groups, contributing to her community and fostering meaningful relationships.

As a member of the Two Rivers United Child Advocacy Center team, Aberash is passionate about building collaborative relationships with community stakeholders to provide comprehensive support services to survivors and their families. Her vision is a society where every individual feels safe, valued, and empowered. She is dedicated to ensuring families have access to the resources and support they need to thrive.

Carley Castanon Forensic Interviewer / Advocate

Forensic Interviewer / Advocate

Carley is passionate about building a safe environment for children to disclose a traumatic event. She is a 2026 graduate of Lewis-Clark State college and is currently pursuing her Master of Social Work at University of Kentucky.

When she isn’t working. Carley enjoys spending time with her family, watching her nieces and nephews grow, and living her life by faith. Carley is also involved in the Royal Plaza Assisted Living community where she enjoys creating relationships with the residents and their families.

As a member of the Two Rivers United Child Advocacy Center team, Carley is passionate about providing  services in a safe and supportive environment for children and vulnerable individuals. She works closely with multidisciplinary partners to ensure survivors’ voices are heard and families are connected to the resources they need to heal and thrive.

Lara-Ly Hendrickson, DNP, RN-BC, CPN, NPD-BC

Lara-Ly Hendrickson

DNP, RN-BC, CPN, NPD-BC, P-SANE

Lara-Ly comes to us with over 30 years of pediatric nursing experience. She currently teaches nursing full-time and fills in part-time in the Saint Joseph Pediatric and Family Beginnings Department. She is trained as a Pediatric Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner. She cares deeply about the children of Lewiston, Clarkston and the surrounding areas.

In her spare time, she enjoys reading, running and spending time with family.

Assistance Dog NW – Courthouse Facility Dog

We are awaiting “Match Day” with Assistance Dog’s Northwest!

Courthouse Facility Dogs are highly trained assistance dogs and require a very specific temperament.  Courthouse Facility Dogs provide comfort and courage to child victims and help children to find their voice throughout the difficult legal process.  Courthouse Facility Dogs accompany children in interviews, exams and even while testifying in court.  When TRUCAC is matched with a dog, our team will also receive specialized training to incorporate these services into the sensitive and critical work we do.

As the District 2 Program Manager for Youth Safety and Permanency at the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare, Kim has been a leading force in identifying gaps in services for rural communities.  She witnesses firsthand the need for stronger interventions, victim advocacy services, social justice, and improved judicial outcomes for children who have been maltreated.

Nick Eylar

Detective Sergeant, Lewiston Police Department

Over his seventeen (17) years in law enforcement and seven (7) years serving on the Nez Perce County Sexual Assault Response Team (SART), Detective Eylar is integral in identifying gaps for appropriate and accessible investigative services for children who have experienced abuse and witnessed violent crimes.   

Rori Santana

Director of Labor and Delivery, St. Joseph’s Regional Hospital

Rori is integral to developing resources for appropriate trauma-informed access to quality medical services for child abuse and pediatric sexual assault victims. Rori will be directing referrals for appropriate medical interventions and oversight to our Pediatric Sexual Assault Nurse Examiners (P-SANE).

Jessica Uhrig

Jessica Uhrig

Attorney at Northwest Justice Services

Jessica provides sound legal guidance in the development and oversight of organizational policies and crime victim assistance.  As a prosecuting attorney for over 10 years, Jessica directly represented child welfare cases and has been instrumental in ensuring that proactive measures are being taken to improve services to child victims and increase prosecution rates for offenders.

John graduated from the University of Idaho in 1989 with a BS in Electrical Engineering and earned an Executive MBA degree from Boise State University in 2011. John has a strong history of executive leadership and management, business development and consulting, and serving his community across his profession, alma mater, and faith community.  As a grandfather and great grandfather, the mission of Two Rivers United is even closer to home and heart: helping kids and families at their most vulnerable moments. He’ll bring his years of business leadership experience to help strengthen and grow this team and their impact.

Cindy is a collaborative leader with deep experience in grant administration, public funding strategy, and community‑driven program development.  A consistent thread in Cindy’s work is her commitment to strengthening systems that support children and families. Cindy has extensive experience in non-profit work and board development.  Cindy is excited to join the team because TRUCAC is doing the kind of work that can change the trajectory of a child’s life, strengthen family systems, and improve the overall safety and health of an entire community. The wellbeing of our children rests with all of us, and as a native Palouse resident, she cares deeply about creating positive, lasting change that elevates the quality of life in our region.
