K-12 Prevention Curriculum

Childhelp Speak Up Be Safe (SUBS) is a comprehensive youth-focused program consisting of an evidence-based core curriculum for youth in all grades (Pre-K through 12), evidence-informed supplemental modules, resources, and activities for children and youth.

Our team at Two Rivers United Child Advocacy Center is able to assist your school or organization integrate this powerful curriculum directly into the classroom.  We can provide:

  • Co-facilitators to present materials
  • Direct advocacy and support dealing with disclosures
  • A training course with information and facilitation guidance for educatorsparents, and other adults wanting to learn about issues and teach the lessons to youth
  • Supplemental materials

This program helps children and teens learn proactive skills to prevent abuse and other types of interpersonal harm with a focus on:

  • Minimizing risks
  • Building resistance skills
  • Preventing perpetration
  • Fostering healthy relationships and protective factors
  • Creating a responsive safety network with peers and safe adults

Digital Safety

Staying Safe from Online Harm

The Childhelp “Staying Safe from Online Harm” module helps protect youth from sextortion and online exploitation, a growing concern for youth nationwide. Designed for ages 10-15

Minimal Facts Training

Training for First Responders:

Upon a report of child abuse allegations, domestic violence, or other crimes – first responders in both law enforcement and child protection may have initial responsibilities to ensure child safety and assess the situation before referring to the CAC for a forensic interview.  This POST-Certified Training is a 2-hour session on national best-practices in child-abuse investigation responses and interviewing children.

Minimal Facts Interviewing (MFI) will help your team:

  • Understand developmental levels of children and how it affects interviews
  • Understand the types of Q’s and the role they play in interviewing children
  • Learn to conduct MFI’s, documentation, and referral processes
